Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic, hands on, “get it done” team player that has broad Supply Chain operational knowledge and expertise within External Manufacturing Planning, including building Supply Chain networks and partnerships, both internally and externally. The Chemical & CMO (Chemical Manufacturing Organization) Bulk Planner plays a key role within the planning team in overall end-to-end (E2E) supply chain planning.
This role aligns with the E2E planner to comprehend the long-term product strategy and translates that strategy into a tactical design for execution for the assigned Chemical Products in the external nodes in the supply chain(s). There is a very close partnership with the respective E2E Planners when working on API cycle stock and safety stock targets.
The Chemical & CMO Bulk Planner will identify and implement improvement initiatives and plans in conjunction with corporate and divisional objectives and goals. According to the scope of the initiative, the Chemical & CMO Bulk Planner coordinates as needed with other stakeholders, for example: Product Lead, Ops Manager External Manufacturing (ExM), ExM transactional team, Focus Factory Teams, Site Planning, Procurement, etc.
The Chemical & CMO Bulk Planner acts as the primary contact within Supply Chain Management (SCM) for the strategic, tactical, and operational horizon for assigned chemical products. The successful candidate will understand the volume and capacity-related implications to in-network and external sites in the supply network for the relevant portfolio of chemical products. Rigorous analyses relating to downstream impact are performed, and proactive solutions to issues are developed in close cooperation with the E2E planner before they arise. The role will support the ExM Platform strategic direction and will align this with the E2E product strategies.
