Celonic is a privately owned Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) with two state-of-the-art sites located at Basel, Switzerland (headquarters) and Heidelberg, Germany.

Celonic provides comprehensive GMP development and manufacturing services for New Biological Entities (NBEs) and Biosimilars, as well as Cell & Gene Therapy associated services worldwide. Their portfolio includes the development of cell lines, production processes, as well as non-GMP and GMP manufacturing of biopharmaceutical drug substances and drug product. Currently there are over 300 highly qualified employees working at the two sites of Celonic. Because of the expansion of the company, Celonic is looking for dedicated and qualified employees.

For support of our Development Team at our Basel site (Switzerland) we are looking for a

Senior Scientist analytical method development (f/m/d) RNA/DNA based therapeutics

 

 Your area of responsibility:

• Analytical method development and optimization of cell-based and bioanalytical methods for characterization and release of novel nucleic acid based therapeutics


• Support in laboratory set-up and organization e.g. sourcing and qualification of equipment


• Transfer of developed analytical methods to our Quality Control department


• Preparation of plans, reports, SOPs and presentations


• Point of contact for analytical questions with focus on novel nucleic acid based therapeutics in internal meetings as well as in meetings with clients


• Support of our sales team during proposal generation as scientific expert

Your skills & qualification:

• PhD or equivalent degree in life sciences, pharmaceutical biotechnology, biochemistry or equivalent degree


• First working experience in industrial environment is a prerequisite


• Strong hands-on experience in bio- and physico-chemical characterization of nucleic acids using state of the art methods
  (e.g. cell-based assays, UPLC, MS, spectroscopy, DLS, electrophoretic methods)


• Experience in performing analytical method qualification and / or validation is a plus


• Flexible and solution focused with strong operational, organizational, and documentation skills


• A strong team player with hands-on working style


• Excellent English skills, German skills are mandatory
