EMEA Tax Compliance Analyst

Summary The EMEA Tax Compliance Analyst is responsible for all aspects of tax compliance for Switzerland (14 entities). She / he is also providing support to Finance Coordinators in tax compliance matters throughout the EMEA region (22 countries). She / he assists in the preparation and/or review of the current and deferred tax calculations for the EMEA region. EMEA Tax Compliance Analyst is also accountable for bringing efficiency to the tax compliance and tax reporting processes and will have to take leadership in ensuring that the Tax Function achieves its objectives related to Tax Control Framework. She / he is supported by the relevant accounting people assisting the tax compliance process. The position is based in Geneva. He / she will have to build a strong relationship with all stakeholders involves in the Finance processes (Accounting, Consolidation, Controlling, Treasury and Shared Service Center teams, located in Geneva and across the EMEA region).





Main Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the EMEA Tax Compliance Analyst will be:

1) Swiss Tax Compliance: Responsible for the overall Swiss corporate tax compliance including but not limited to:

- Preparing Swiss CIT returns and TPC returns;

- Preparing Swiss tax forms relative to WHT, stamp duty, etc.;

- Responding to tax enquiries from federal and cantonal authorities and preparing claims against cantonal assessments;

- Managing and following tax payments;

- Managing and/or assisting in Swiss tax audits;

- Implementing processes and/or improving efficiency of existing ones;

- Reviewing yearly and quarterly tax provisions of Swiss entities

- Administration, documentation, etc.;



2) EMEA Tax Compliance

- Improve processes and quality of the EMEA Tax Compliance;

- Monitoring/Following-up overall tax compliance within the EMEA region;

- Reviewing yearly and quarterly tax provisions of EMEA Entities;

- Providing support to Finance department within the EMEA region on tax accounting (including cash tax);



3) Tax Reporting

- Assisting in the preparation and/or review of the current and deferred tax calculations for the EMEA region;

- Providing support to the Reporting and Consolidation departments on tax reporting (effective and cash tax rate analysis, etc.);



4) Tax planning

- Provide whenever relevant improvement opportunities, and / or risk mitigations.





Experiences
- 4-6 years of experience in a tax compliance function, ideally in an international environment (In-house tax or Big 4);

- Very strong knowledge of Swiss tax law (corporate tax, withholding tax and stamp duty);

- Strong understanding of tax accounting and reporting concepts/principles (temporary/permanent differences, current and deferred taxes, etc.);



- Knowledge of IFRS (specifically tax accounting related standards), Swiss GAAP; International tax and transfer pricing principles is also valuable.
