Hematology (Adults) Group, Department of Biomedical Research, University of Bern, Switzerland.

A laboratory assistant position is available starting from December 2020 at hematology department/ Inselspital and DBMR. We are looking for a laboratory assistant who can help us with the following tasks.

Tasks• Organizational laboratory tasks and ordering system

• Mouse colony maintenance and genotyping

• Cell culture maintenance and Molecular biology experimentsRequirements• Completed training as a biology laboratory assistant or molecular biologist (e.g. BMA or BSc)

• Experience with cell culture and molecular biological techniques (e.g. PCR, western blot and cloning)

• Good knowledge of German and English

• Previous knowledge with mouse colony maintenance and genotyping will be an advantage but not requisite

• Teamwork and good communication skills
