We are now looking for a new colleague to join our passionate team of computer vision engineers and help us make the next steps. Together with the other team members, you will be responsible for further improving the scan performance of our products and making them work in even more challenging conditions. You will also be working on projects around object detection, which will allow us to support novel use cases and launch new products.

As a part of our Zurich-based engineering team, you will play an important role in extending our products and researching, implementing and validating machine learning algorithms.

What You Will Do

• Build systems to train models for challenging object and visual text recognition problems


• Implement model evaluation algorithms for mobile devices that run in real time


• Apply machine learning algorithms to improve the performance of our barcode scanning algorithms


• Extract new insights from our analytics data to improve the performance of our products


• Build automated QA systems to guarantee robustness, speed and consistency

Who You Are

• MSc or PhD degree in computer science or a related field


• Practical experience in machine learning (including deep learning) and computer vision / image processing


• Familiar with architectures, modeling, capabilities and limitations of deep neural networks


• Experience in C++ and Python (or a similar language)


• Published work at relevant conferences (such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.) and the desire to mentor other team members are a plus
