Senior Digital Backend Engineer

Job description

Overall purpose of the role:
Digital back-end (STA, place & route, physical verification) of IC's.

Your main tasks will include:

• Definition of the physical constraints of implemented block


• Update and correction of timing constraints (provide feedback to designers)


• Floorplan construction, logic placement


• Clock tree synthesis


• Timing optimization and static timing analysis


• Power consumption and IR drop analysis


• Physical verification (DRC, LVS)


• Engineering Change Orders (ECO) implementation


• Communication with EDA and tool vendors to fix bugs, suggest enhancements


• Development of internal back-end environment

Profile

• Masters or PhD in electronics/microelectronics


• Teamplayer, flexible, hard worker, good analytical skills


• Used to work in multicultural environment


• Creative, accountable, goal-oriented and efficient


• Strong autonomy in his field and capability for team work


• Good written and verbal communication skills

Professional requirements

• At least 3 years experience with digital back-end tasks


• Experience of all IC place & route steps: from floorplanning to physical verification


• Experience of Static Timing Analysis (STA)


• Experience with Multi Power Domain digital design (UPF definition)


• Knowledge of TCL or Perl/Python scripting

Languages

• Very good English written and verbal


• French and/or German would be an asset
