As part of its development, Sarp Industries is seeking, for its Swiss subsidiary: a Head of Accounting & Finance.
To manage and improve our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal corporate standards, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
As a member of the senior management team with responsibility for all aspects of Finance and Accounting functions including the administration related to the Swiss Holding for SARP Industry in Switzerland. Management of the accountancy admin team. Administration of the legal entities including control of local accounts, business systems and consolidated reporting. Liaison with Group finance department and external stakeholders e.g. shareholders, auditors, insurers etc. as needed.
Main Duties to include:
- Providing Finance support to the business operations in relation to investments (CAPEX), cost control (OPEX) and cash management
- Primary contact with Swiss Tax Authority, Banks, Insurers and other external stakeholders
- Corporation Tax and VAT consolidation, reporting and payment
- Management of the accounting and administration team including payroll function
- Administration of the corporate structure including organising AGM and discharging legal responsibilities of the company to all minority shareholders
- Ensuring implementation of and compliance with internal (corporate) finance procedures
- Oversee the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts in accordance with company timetable
- Uploading financial information to Consolidation Tool (Vector) & Pixel Tool
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Management of Sales & Purchase Ledger systems to ensure effective oversight and accurate reporting
- Control of Aged Debt including risk management and debt recovery
- KPI reporting at all levels of the business, process lines, site, G&A, etc.
- Annual Budget & Quarterly forecasting to meet Group requirements
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Preparation & Coordination of external audit with reference to statutory accounts
- Bank / Cash Flow management

The ideal candidate should possess a rigorous analytical approach, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers and be able to operate autonomously. They should be highly organised, and have excellent communication skills and a strong team spirit. The candidate will be expected to review and update our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive cost control and profitability.
We are looking for an Administrative and Accountancy Manager with direct experience in an industrial business environment with a practical understanding of Swiss and EU finance regulations and legislation including Swiss tax system and the practical application of IFRS. Proven ability at management level including support of senior management and supervision of administration team. Able to work on your own initiative, good analytical, organisation skill and strong attention to detail, good business understanding in industrial or logistics environment. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate that they can plan and prioritise their work on a day to day basis.
Minimum of 7 years experience in an accounting role with at least 2yrs in a supervisory/management position.
