Job Description


Our company's Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading the integrated end to end value chain activities starting with the manufacturing and supply strategic intent of the network flowing through to operational planning across the supply chain and delivering final product to patients in the 140 markets we serve.  The Company's Supply Chain Organization will support business development and acquisitions, a key growth driver for our company, and ensure value chain design achieves the company’s business goals.  Supply Chain Management is responsible for Supply & Operations Planning, end to end product planning, and trade compliant delivery and demand fulfillment of customer orders.  The Supply Chain Center of Excellence & Transition Management will drive standard business process, continuous improvement, and manage the complete transition and stand-up of the organization.


The position reports to the Head of Supply Chain for our company.  This position is a key member of Supply Chain Management Leadership Team and the role leads the leadership team and extended leadership team who enable all the organizational and strategic activities of the organization.  A large part of the role will focus on supporting the stand-up of this newly formed leadership team and organization. This includes the development and execution of the functional strategy including organizational metrics, culture creation, critical initiatives, budgeting and profit planning, communications, competency-building, change management and business operations to enable the organization’s mission.   


DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ACTIVITIES:


1.  Supply Chain Management – Org Stand-up, Strategy Execution & Improvement



  • Coordination of leadership team and organizational “stand-up” activities and improvement initiatives.  Identification, prioritization, and scoping of improvement initiatives across the business that are targeted to improve effectiveness, operating efficiencies, enable lead time reductions and lower costs.


  • Guides the Supply Chain Management (SCM) leadership team through development of strategy including building the culture.


  • Manages the overall improvement portfolio and ensure that initiatives have appropriate sponsorship, execution plans, and change management to drive to installation and realization of benefits. 


  • Drives the overall change management activities for the organization.


  • Designs and executes organization wide communications and engagement.


  • Manages the deployment of mindset, methodologies and tools to drive culture and key organizational competencies



Coordination of the management systems and performance measures for Supply Chain Management. Establishes, maintains and optimizes performance metrics for Organon Supply Chain Management to ensure effective organizational focus and outcomes. Uses performance results to identify areas where improvement is needed to advance our mission and strategy


Serves as Chief of Staff for Head of Our Company's Supply Chain Management



  • Ensure planning and facilitating the departmental Leadership Team (LT) sessions/meetings and forums


  • Manages and coordinates engagement and communications across the organization


  • Works closely with other Operations Business support leaders across Manufacturing & Supply to align on organizational strategies and priorities.



EDUCATION:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or related scientific field


REQUIRED:



  • At least 10+ years of overall work experience with at least 5 years in biopharmaceutical industry



PREFERRED:



  • Experience in driving change through clarifying intent, managing delivery, and enrolling people to realize.




  • Knowledge and experience with portfolio management, project management, organizational design, balanced scorecards, competitive analysis, performance measurement and/or business metrics.


  • Desire to work in a “start-up” environment supporting the separation and stand-up of Organon Supply Chain Management and the building of a newly formed leadership team and organization.


  • Experience with change management, deployment of Lean/Six Sigma and/or other business improvement methodologies.


  • Experience in supply chain management.


  • Knowledge of strategy development and execution.


  • Courage, candor and willingness to speak up.


  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
