Syngenta Group was formed in January 2020 bringing together agricultural assets of Syngenta, Adama and Sinochem. Syngenta Group comprises of four business units: Syngenta CP, Syngenta Seeds, Adama, Syngenta Group China, with 48,000 employees and $23b sales. This role will support Organisational Development activities for the group and provide thought leadership across relevant Group and BU org development areas.


The role purpose is to focus on driving Organisational Development across the Syngenta Group in support of our business priorities. You will work with human resources business partners (HRBP), senior leaders and leadership teams across Syngenta Group, and Business Units where relevant, to improve enterprise, team and individual leader effectiveness; and lead the design, development and implementation of change / organization effectiveness projects.   


In this role you will:


Translate POD (People, Organization and Development) area deliverables for Corporate Functions



  • Deep understanding of all POD delivery areas and business impacts (including Talent, Leadership Development, Learning and Diversity and Inclusion)

  • Leading, in partnership with relevant HRBP, the delivery of activities in support of POD deliverables across Corporate Functions at Group Level


Org Development and Effectiveness



  • Work across all Group Corporate Functions to identify, design and deliver focused group-level development interventions aimed at improving enterprise-wide leadership and team effectiveness.

  • Partner with relevant Business Unit colleagues in supporting in-BU or in-region Corporate Function initiatives and teams


Org Effectiveness focal area



  • Develop thought leadership across a relevant POD area in support of the broader Org Effectiveness team capability. Possibilities include (Change, Team effectiveness, coaching, Org Design, Org Efficiency, Analytics, etc)

  • Drive global community (“guild”) around expertise area including Group and BU colleagues, to embed and deepen expertise area across the business.


 

 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in this role you will ideally need:


Critical knowledge



  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field preferred (Business, Org Development, HR Management)

  • Master’s Degree preferred (primarily in Org Dev but other relevant study areas considered).

  • Demonstrated experience-based knowledge of org development (including org change management, org design), business operations, systems thinking, teams and dynamics

  • Hands on experience of working in group set up is an additional advantage


Critical experience



  • 12 years minimum of focused on organization development experience, preferably including significant experience in matrixed, multinational organizations working with senior/c-suite leaders.

  • Skilled and experienced in leading cultural change and transformation and ability to influence all people involved and affected by the transformation

  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of P&L business operations, long-term focus, ability to conduct deep needs analysis, demonstrated strategic thinking.

  • Strong understanding and/or experience in Human Resources and talent areas are a strong plus

  • International work experience across both developed and emerging markets preferred

  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment spread across geographies and cultures

  • Getting things done through Influence and key stakeholder engagement
