Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of clinical care whilst on duty


• Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the evaluation and implementation of programme of care without supervision


• Forming and maintaining clear line of communication between the medical centre and the rest of the school, adhering to strict guidelines on confidentiality


• Establish and maintain professional contact with the parents of the patients.

Core Functions:

• Ensure that own nursing practices comply with professional code of conduct and CdL Medical Centre policies and procedures


• To contribute in the provision of cover for the Medical Centre


• To liaise with house staff and on-site staff professionally and effectively utilizing excellent communication skills at all times


• Maintaining accurate clear records of attendances, and care provided


• Helping to optimize wellbeing of pupils by providing health education and support, taking on an active role in delivering special clinics relating to health education


• To have a flexible and adaptable approach

General Functions:

• To maintain confidentiality of information regarding pupils and their families at all times


• To be conversant with the schools policies and procedures regarding health and safety/fire precautions


• Communicate with all visitors/staff/pupils in a professional and friendly manner

Skills and Competencies:

• Required to have Nursing Qualification recognized by Swiss Law


• Experience of teaching and assessing: desirable but not essential


• Experience in emergency and pediatric nursing desirable but not essential


• Evidence of continual professional development


• Interest in teenagers primary nursing and health care education


• Communication skills oral and written in both English and French


• Good interpersonal skills


• Excellent communication skills


• Pressure resilient
