Job Description

He/She will provide the technical expertise to the campus in terms of:

• Supports all the calibration activities linked to manufacturing (temperature, pressure, conductivity, flow, pH, UV, agitator, level strapping …)




• Write and review calibration procedures, work instruction, job plan, calibration work order




• Actively participate to technical training for technicians




• Investigates instrumentation failures




• On call for supporting manufacturing operation 24h/24h and Shift rotation 2*8

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Supports all the calibration activities and corrective calibrations linked to manufacturing
   Insure LOTO application from safety perspective
   Tracks calibration systems through the DeltaV / AMS control systems
   Review Calibration WO


2. Actively participate to technical training for technicians
   Provides commissioning, validation, engineering support


3. Investigates instruments failures / out of tolerance (Remedial Action Reporting) and serves as system expert for troubleshooting instruments and repairs
   Responds to adverse conditions and implements corrective actions to restore instrument to normal operation

Qualifications

• Automation, Electro or Electronic engineer, Medicin Pharma-Technik Dipl., Elektroniker, Control and Regulation Dipl. with experience in startup of facilities.



• 3 years of successful calibration experience on mid-sized and major projects for Instrumentation with high complexity in the chemical, biotech-or pharmaceutical industry.




• Proven experience and knowledge in calibration, measurement technology, and controls with delta V / AMS system.




• Excellent communication & listening, writing skills.




• Languages: English in written and spoken and German / French is a plus.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Calibration technician is responsible for supporting all the calibration activities for the Luterbach manufacturing site. The purpose of this role is to provide high level of technical expertise needed to support daily calibration activities, operations team and equipment related issues during manufacturing campaigns, in full compliance with Safety, Quality, and Compliance. The campus of Luterbach consists of a Central Utilities Building, Warehouse, manufacturing building BMC’s, and related supporting buildings and equipment’s.
