GIA Group Internal Audit helps the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes .The Audit Manager is a key member of the Group Internal Audit function within Sulzer, helping the function in meeting its mission across divisions and countries.


 


The Internal Audit Manager will have to cope with significant travel (60%+) on a worldwide basis, preferably based out of UK (Leeds, Birmingham), Germany (Bonn) or Spain (Madrid).

Your role:


 


• Lead the execution of large and complex operational and financial audits (pre-, on-site and post- phases) for different business processes across all Sulzer Divisions.


• Collect, analyze, interpret documents and information to arrive at audit result, and prepare work papers in accordance with GIA procedures and standards.


• Accurate evaluation of the internal control system of the audited unit.


• Document audit findings, risks and recommendations and responsible for the preparation of the audit report.


• Prepare and perform quality review of audit work papers in accordance with Internal Audit procedures / standards.


• Communication of audit results to both the audited and GIA management.


• Support in the training and development of less experienced auditors.


 


Your profile:


 


• Relevant University degree incl post graduate or equivalent (e.g. accounting, business administration, economics or engineering) and Internal audit or risk management certification (CIA, CISA, Masters in Audit or CRMA).


• Min 8 years of audit experience, work experience in controlling or other relevant line functions or a combination a plus.


• Ability to analyze processes within the manufacturing and industrial sectors including business risks (strategic, operational and compliance).


• Expert in internal control systems and governance concepts.


• Good knowledge in financial and management accounting, project management / controlling, procurement / inventory management.


• Strong ERP (SAP) knowledge and IT skills including use of analytical tools.


• Open, inquisitive mind, perseverance and ability to confront difficult issues with appropriate response.


• Strong communication skills (oral and written) – English and a 2nd language.
