Head of Product Engineering (f/m/x)

As Department Manager of Product Engineering you are responsible for the transfer of new developments into serial production and for the quality of the serial production. You check permanently technical modifications and implement them into our measuring devices if reasonable, especially if the changes are customer driven. You are heading a team of product engineers with the target to fulfill these tasks for different types of instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Assumption of technical product responsibility, especially its product quality


• Ongoing monitoring of the manufacturing process and continuous improvement in terms of quality and costs


• Responsibility for the transition of products to series production


• Responsibility for the specification, development and transfer of customer projects


• Close cooperation with development, production, customer service, purchasing and product management


• Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of the team

Requirements:

• Completed technical studies, preferably in mechatronics, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or similar


• At least 3 years of professional experience


• Knowledge of supply chain management and project management


• Experience with approvals / certifications (e.g. CE) is an advantage


• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage


• Very good leadership skills


• Very good organizational and communication skills


• High goal orientation and pronounced quality awareness


• Very good knowledge of French and English, German is an advantage
