PresentationTo complement the research activities in the group of Prof. Jean-Yves Roignant at the CIG (Center for Integrative Genomics) of the University of Lausanne, we are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on projects relating to gene regulation and RNA modifications.

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 1 x 2 years
Activity rate : 100 % (minimum of 50% for research project, maximum of 50% for institutional tasks)

Your responsibilitiesThe main responsibility consists of conducting scientific research in the framework of the Roignant lab, which investigates how RNA modifications impact gene expression. The biological roles and molecular mechanisms of RNA modifications will be studied using multidisciplinary approaches (genome engineering / biochemistry / genomics / imaging) using Drosophila melanogaster and tissue culture cells as model systems. The main goals of the research are:
(1) to investigate the developmental and physiological functions of m6A RNA modification and
(2) to address its underlying molecular mechanisms.
Full funding for the position is available, although application to personal, international fellowship programs are expected.

The Roignant lab is hosted at the Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), a vibrant, well-funded institute with a focus on functional genomics and equipped with modern core facilities (see www.unil.ch/cig).
