Senior Manager, Business Planning, European Partner Markets (EPM)

Job Description


(1) Support and contribute to the preparation of the Annual Operation Plan, Reforecasts, Long Range Plan and Business Reviews. Maintain a working P&L with associated Risks & Opportunities throughout the year. Ensure high forecast accuracy on Revenue and Operating Expenses. Provide guidance and support to Distributors during forecasting cycle


(2) Distributor Markets Month, Quarter and Year-End activities. Preparing and attending the International Revenue Flux calls. Liaising with Logistics and Accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition and accurate provisions. Monitoring the business performance against targets, develop understanding and reasons for variances. Closely monitor OPEX activities with function leads in order to ensure utilization of resources


(3) Review and approve Distributor supply price reconciliations and accruals. Act as liaison between Commercial Directors, Accounting and Distributors while ensuring appropriate and effective controls are in place.


(4) Sales and operations planning (S&OP). Analyse and review demand forecast with S&OP team and Commercial Directors. Inform EPM and ECP management about expected month end landing.


(5) Propose changes in Provisional Supply Prices (PSPs) and other pricing elements in different markets based on recent market developments. Support V&A price business cases for market access schemes and product deployment


(6) Other (ad-hoc) requests and projects e.g. involvement with Distributor Internal Audits, external audits, continuous improvement projects, analysis of trade flows, etc


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar


  • Extensive relevant Finance experience in the healthcare industry (+7 years) and track record of leadership experience


  • Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical business and its interfaces (e.g. supply chain, value & access, commercial, medical)


  • Preferably experience in managing distributor business

  • Experience in working in a multinational environment


  • Strong accounting and commercial finance background


  • Ability to work independently and in a pro-active way setting own deadlines


  • Ability to quickly switch between complex issues in various geographical areas


  • Strong communication skills


  • Fluent in English both written and spoken


  • Above average MS Excel and PowerPoint skills


  • Proficient in Hyperion Essbase



Additional Information


The Senior Manager, Business Planning, EPM reports to the Head of Finance, EPM. In a highly complex market environment involving 5 different Distributor Partners covering 9 countries, this role will encompass


(1) high-quality forecast planning, execution and reporting


(2) managing and executing all aspects of the Distributor Markets Month, Quarter and Year-end activities


(3) review and approving Distributor Partner supply price reconciliations and setting appropriate provisions


(4) analysis of Distributor demand forecasts and month end landing


(5) other (ad-hoc) requests as they occur.
