The Private Real Estate team, as of 30th June 2020, manages over $11.5 billion in AUM, deployed in more than 220 real estate investments, with around 70 dedicated investment and asset management professionals across the globe. 


 


In this role you will be part of a dynamic and growing global real estate asset management team covering value-add/opportunistic investments within a large, established investment platform. Your responsibilities will include working closely with team members and local operating partners in order to drive the performance of direct real estate investments across all property sectors. The portfolio is growing, and the team is looking to hire a pan-European Asset Manager. This position will be based in London, UK or Zug, Switzerland.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Drive investment performance from deal execution through disposition, for assets with complex investment strategies including developments and major redevelopment/repositioning projects, in conjunction with local operating partners and third-party advisors.

  • Identify, recommend and execute value creation initiatives to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks during the hold period. 

  • Lead preparation and implementation of annual business plans and analyse financial projection models and reporting. 

  • Perform regular sites visits, serving as an expert on local leasing and capital market conditions. 

  • Evaluate financial implications of major decisions including tenant selection, lease negotiations, debt terms, hold/sell analyses and make recommendations to Investment Committee.

  • Assist the acquisitions team with underwriting and due diligence.
     

What we expect


We are looking for a person who works well in an entrepreneurial organization, who is a self-starter and possesses strong networking and organization skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:



  • Strong academic background (real estate finance, engineering, architecture, construction management or similar subject preferred)

  • 8-10 years of relevant industry experience preferably at a real estate operator/developer, construction consulting firm, or asset manager.

  • Ability to get involved in a diverse range of work, having had experience of operating across a variety of asset classes and geographies.

  • Demonstrated leadership managing development/renovation projects, implementing leasing strategies and running acquisition/disposal processes.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, manage and build relationships across broad range of parties including joint venture partners, lenders, leasing and capital market advisors and other service providers. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability, with strong attention to detail.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a team-oriented environment.
