We offer:

A challenging role in the investment management team at Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners AG ("CSEIP"), a Credit Suisse investment boutique specializing in direct private equity investments within the energy infrastructure sector all over Europe. CSEIP, through a number of institutional investment vehicles, invests in and manages projects, assets and companies across the entire energy value chain, such as hydroelectric power plants, electricity and gas networks, as well as wind and solar farms. 

You will find opportunities for a steep learning curve by contributing to managing prestigious private equity investments and delivering large-scale international energy infrastructure projects. As an Associate, you will be supporting senior asset managers and contribute with your specialized engineering knowledge and project management skills to the success of our asset management initiatives in measuring and creating shareholder value in existing Private Equity portfolio investments. Main tasks will consist of taking leadership in:

  • Managing project financed infrastructure investments across Europe, encompassing both greenfield project development and operational assets as well as representing clients’ interests in privately owned companies.

  • Engaging professionally with our counterparties, such as industry partners and co-investors, due diligence advisors and client representatives.

  • Planning and preparing supervisory and board of directors' meetings and working with senior executives to realize value creation plans.

  • Identify scope and risk from complex contracts including translation into deliverables for the target asset’s management organization, and respective follow-up through appropriate KPIs.

  • Assisting origination team in the due diligence phase (technical, contractual and financial), negotiating commercial contracts as well as perform construction and operations monitoring and opine on energy yield and technology (upgrade) assessments. 

  • Evaluate asset performance through proficient use of financial models, considering impacts of different organizational, market (e.g. PPA) and capital structures.

  • Identify cross-functional and sustainable improvement and cost-out potentials in business case, incl. opportunity and risk assessment, to support related decision making with sensitivity analyses.

  • Take a lead on improvement initiatives in the field of advanced data analytics, digitalization, engineering and asset management, e.g. regarding Operation & Maintenance or merchant power hedging strategies in the renewables wind, and to limited extent solar, sector, and other generation, transmission & storage investments.

  • Understand and reflect various effects on the business case e.g. accounting, taxation and other macro-economic factors such as interest rates and merchant power markets.

  • Facilitate feedback information loops into the organization to improve and optimize other assets and development projects

  • Curriculum demonstrating above-average results and business-relevant professional experience of 3 -7 years (including internships) at a recognized leader in the energy industry, e.g. utilities, investment management, renewable energy advisory and/or engineering services sector


  • Master’s degree (or diploma) in engineering or industrial engineering, ideally backed by relevant finance experience, e.g. in a commercial role or in the context of structured financings


  • Experience contributing to the delivery of large infra projects


  • Detail-oriented and problem-solving attitude with motivation to produce extra-mile analyses, combined with appetite for complex legal and financial environment 


  • Team player with excellent communication skills 


  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint


  • Excellent knowledge of English. Proficiency in German is a strong advantage
