Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Business Partner for the Lausanne and Amsterdam offices, providing day-to-day support for the employees and leadership team (additional locations could be added).

  • Provide support and guidance on strategic matters effecting the business in partnership with the HR Business Partner Team.

  • Advising on practical solutions to complex problems, e.g. living our culture in a more regulated environment.

  • Partner directly with TA resource to ensure staffing needs are met successfully.

  • Partner with the L&D team to ensure employee development plans are adequately supported.

  • Partner with US-based P&C functional team members as required for items such as benefits, L&D programs, TA, compensation and Viasat policies and procedures.

  • Running the administration of benefits locally, e.g. registration with pension office.

  • Support growth in Lausanne and the Netherlands.

  • Partner on growth initiatives across Europe for the wider Viasat Group.

  • Facilitate on-boarding and induction for all employees to ensure a positive employee experience.

  • You will also assist with ad hoc HR projects as required.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Fluency in English and at least one of the following (preferred 2+) languages: French, German or Italian.

  • 3+ years’ experience as a HR Generalist/HR Business Partner, with strong knowledge of Swiss HR labor laws.

  • Experience in working for a non-Swiss based company while supporting a site in Switzerland.

  • Business acumen with a proven track record supporting cross-functional and virtual teams.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment.

  • Demonstrates personal initiative in problem solving.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability and desire to learn quickly.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Potential travel up to 25% to include supporting HR needs in remote offices.

  • Swiss, EU Citizenship, or valid Swiss Work Permit required.

Preferences


  • Experience in a mid-large size high tech company

  • Experience in working for a US headquartered company

  • Experience/Knowledge of Dutch labor laws
