The position
For our Global Diagnostics User Experience Team (DIA UX), we are looking for a motivated Design Lead / Principal UX Designer, who is experienced in managing several projects, user research and digital healthcare and is passionate to contribute to the transformation of user and customer experience in healthcare. In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to bring in your design and research expertise as well as to prove your leadership ability.
Key responsibilities
Set project scope, timeline and key milestones, act as the liaison between the team and the client.
Supervise the delivery across multiple project teams, conduct periodic alignment meetings with the teams and maintain a close relationship with clients.
Lead the team to synthesize insights to map opportunity areas and ideas or requirements for a solution.
Understand what kind of design research is needed and how to form observations from fieldwork or remote testing into powerful insights and design decisions.
Define workshop objectives and communicate how to shape workshop content, assets as well as exercises to other team members and facilitate parts of activities and discussions.
Build rapport, emanate confidence and inspire when advising clients and leading teams.
Incorporate business objectives alongside the customer and user needs into the design process throughout the work.
Represent the DIA UX team in Roche events and meetings, and articulate the business value of design across several projects, from personal or team experience.
Identify inter-dependencies or risks early on, and purpose solutions on how to address them.
Delegate day-to-day client interactions to principal designers with oversight.
Drive initiatives to improve team culture and team morale, ensure development opportunities for team members and create a safe environment for junior designers and designers to get out of their comfort zone.
Support constructive critique and personal feedback opportunities within the team, such as retrospectives, and suggest actions to take.

Well-versed in how to research user behavior, derive the most powerful insights from all forms of research, and prototype the creative solutions your actionable insights inspire.
You have contributed to several products or services that have come to market.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment: Pharmaceutical / medical devices / IVD industry.
Fluent in English.
