About the Role

Are you a student or did you just graduate? Do you have technical background and are you looking for an excellent opportunity to acquire first job experiences? Are you passionate about contributing to the success of a highly motivated, multi-cultural team of insurance specialists? We are seeking a technical student with strong IT background supporting the Actuarial reserving team of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions based in Zurich. The engagement period is planned to last 4 to 6 months starting as soon as possible!

In this role you will:

• support the automation of process flows (mainly by developing codes based on statistical software SAS, SQL, R or Phyton)


• support translating code and processes to a new platform


• support the development and production of deep-dive analyses and statistics


• contribute to other ad hoc analyses and tasks to support the members of the team!

About the Team

We are Swiss Re actuarial reserving team in Zurich. We are responsible for determining the technical reserves at adequate levels meeting all local statutory and US GAAP requirements for the regions Europe and Middle East as well as Latin America. In addition, we are supporting Swiss Re Group in all actuarial risk management aspects in respect to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.

About You

Student with technical background such as mathematics or physics with broad experience in developing program codes using SAS, SQL, R or Phyton.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Strong ambitious thinker who works well in a team setting

Proficient in English
