We are currently hiring a Corporate Communications Manager for our dynamic international communications team, reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, External Relations. We are a nimble team supporting a high growth global business. In this role you will be a key player in identifying opportunities to raise Vifor Pharma’s external profile and strengthen its reputation as a star among speciality pharmaceutical companies. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic communications team, striving to ensure the company reaches even greater success. Your responsibilities will include:

• Implement the global external relations strategy and activity plan
  


• Develop and drive clear a consistent news flow plan applicable for all channels
  


• Manage international media relations strategy and execution
  


• Content development for the Annual and Half-Year report and publishing related activities
  


• Handle media enquiries and collaborate with senior management on message development
  


• Prepare briefings for senior leaders, including preparation for interviews and development of speeches, presentations and talking points
  


• Maintain media relationships with Swiss and international business, financial and pharma press
  


• Draft statements, Q&As, press materials and write, edit and distribute content
  


• Develop issues management and crisis communication plans and support the Corporate Communications Director to respond where necessary, in case of crisis
  


• Prepare briefings for senior leaders, including preparation for interviews and development of speeches, presentations and talking points
  


• Organisation of press events and conferences
  


• Management of agencies and related partners
  


• Partner with Investor Relations team to ensure consistent messaging across financial stakeholders and media
  


• Partner and work closely with other functions for consistent communications Public Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, Marketing and Medical and others
  


• Report KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of external relations activities

We would like to welcome the following experience and skills for the role:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate communications and media relations, having worked in-house or in agencies
  


• Experience in an international corporate environment
  


• Extensive experience writing and copy editing corporate communication materials in English
  


• Excellent understanding of digital channels, media, analytics, community building, campaigning and interaction
  


• Communications background in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry welcomed
  


• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  


• Ability to multi-task
  


• Experience to work with Patient organisations, NGOs, Trade unions etc.
  


• Process and Results oriented, flexible to act with a sense of urgency if needed
  


• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  


• Network of international media contacts considered helpful
  


• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  


• High proficiency in German and English, nice-to-have in French
