Description




Joining Intuitive Surgical means joining a team dedicated to using technology to benefit patients by improving surgical efficacy and decreasing surgical invasiveness, with patient safety as our highest priority.


 


Primary Function of Position:

The EU Finance and Sales Operations Manager leads the team responsible for analyzing complex business problems and providing strategic, data-driven guidance to our European organization. This position is heavily involved in the development of analytical frameworks used in planning the future needs of our EU organization. The manager will lead analysis and recommendations that support internal strategic planning, commercial strategy, organizational design, and sales quota modeling. This is a highly analytical role requiring the manipulation of large data sets, the ability to lead and motivate a team, and the ability to communicate and develop meaningful work relationships with multiple executive business partners.

 


Roles and Responsibilities:

 



  • Provide business partner support for EU HQ teams (ex: customer training, marketing, Finance, HR, etc.)

  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide commercial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Develop, scale, and teach tools and dashboards that highlight opportunity and enable our commercial team to more effectively sell da Vinci technology.

  • Create analytical frameworks that enable deeper understanding of business trends.

  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in procedure, revenue, and sales datasets to locate opportunities for accelerating da Vinci adoption.

  • Develop, articulate, and defend analytical positions.

  • Support certain pan-EU Sales Operations activities, such as quota modeling and sales reporting

  • Deliver on EU HQ FP&A activities and deliverables, such as, but not limited to:



    • Monthly Close,

    • Long-range Strategic Planning,

    • Budgeting,

    • Forecasting,

    • Spend Management, etc.


  • Simplify and streamline recurring FP&A and Sales Ops processes, while maximizing effectiveness

  • Develop and manage a team of analysts

  • Utilize SQL and Tableau to query SFDC and Finance databases.

  • Use analytical skills to verify or dispel anecdotal insights.


Qualifications




Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: 



  • Strong ability and track record of leading and motivating a team.




  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically through complexity

  • High curiosity and aptitude for understanding trends, outliers, and causal relationships

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Intellectual curiosity and agility to navigate ambiguous circumstances.

  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization and prioritize evolving, concurrent deliverables.



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.



  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrix organization and rallying disparate groups.




  • Proficiency with dashboard/report creation and data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)

  • Advanced Excel skills (SQL or other database preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters degree preferred)

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience



  • This role requires periodic travel to U.S. and EU regions.
