Summary


Reporting directly to the Vice President Supply Chain EMEA the Demand Management Director provides executive leadership for all aspects of our demand process, including ownership of the forecast process and the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) demand review step, in support of annual/monthly operating planning for the EMEA region. This position will play a critical role in working cross-functionally to refine rolling volume and financial business projection, surfacing any gaps and working with business partners to develop effective counter measures. This position will drive consensus and collaboration between key partners including Marketing/Commercial of Franchises and Country Clusters, Finance as well as Supply Chain partners including Global Planning and Supply & Network Planning, to ultimately achieve world class forecast metrics and resulting service, cost and inventory plans. The role will lead a team of 3-8 employees and be responsible for driving overall engagement and development of the team as well as be a key contributor to the broader Supply Chain Planning, including Sales & Operations Planning, and Commercial organization.


Essential Job Functions


Achieve customer service levels for the region.



  • Collaborate closely with the Supply & Network Planning team as well as AME & APAC Demand Planning, Commercial, Manufacturing and Senior Leadership team to develop the planning elements of the Supply Chain strategy.

  • Lead and improves S&OP and S&OE for EMEA.

  • Responsible for Forecast Accuracy and integration with financial plans and demand plans.

  • Responsible for Life Cycle Management including end-to-end NPI process, phase-out and E&O/Scrap.

  • Responsible for achieving inventory goals in collaboration with Supply Planning and Country Cluster SCM.


Monitoring/Maintenance:



  • Improve and ensure all planning parameters are accurate and updated in relevant planning systems.

  • Ensure single set of data and strive for one planning system.

  • Monitor, root cause and reduce customer backorders.

  • Identify constraints, risks & opportunities associated with demand across all Franchises; provide recommendations and guidance of tradeoffs for effective decision making by P+L owner.

  • Delivers the monthly demand plan; monitors forecast metrics and advises adjustments to models and market intelligence accordingly.


Complexity & Team management:



  • Requires initiative to independently interpret business direction, understand capital constraints and help create trust and alignment between the business and functions around priorities of initiatives.

  • Significant cross-functional interaction.

  • Financial acumen (e.g. understand input / variances to demand plan).

  • Ability to articulate and influence stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage a small team capable of handling future business needs through continuous improvement initiatives, including systems and support elements.

  • Manage, coach and develop a productive and motivated team to be able to achieve team, functional and business objectives.

  • Manage and take responsibility for their development to increase personal contributions to the business.

Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field. Advanced degree a plus.

  • Supply Chain planning experience working both domestically and internationally.

  • APICs CPIM or CSCP preferred

  • Expert on Demand Planning, Forecast Models, Inventory Strategies, and Sales and Operations Planning.

  • Expert on Logility, SAP, MS Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills essential to effectively interact and earn credibility with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting inventory management throughout the network.

  • 20-30% Travel (EMEA)
