Inseriert am: 26.05.2020

The challenge

The focus of this SNSF project is to image and visualize the transmission of sound from the tympanic membrane to the oval window in human temporal bone specimens. The objectives of the PhD are to:

  • select the samples for the SR X-PCI imaging campaigns

  • work in collaboration with the team to develop adequate ultra-fast acquisition protocol

  • describe quantitatively the micro-movements of the ossicular chain in healthy temporal bones thanks to the development of appropriate image processing protocols

  • medical image analysis (segmentation, machine learning algorithms, large data sizes)

  • compare the results with actual gold standard measurements

  • study the impact of pathologic conditions in view of developing new prosthesis

Your profile
