PostDoctoral Position in Circular Built Environment (Architecture/Structural Design)


Your mission :

Following the recent rise of environmental consciousness, the reuse of building components is emerging as a promising approach to achieve greater sustainability in the construction industry. Pushed forward by the European Union and gaining impetus across the globe, component reuse constitutes a key strategy towards a circular economy. Yet, it is today the strategy that is the furthest away from being implemented in the construction practice. This project aims at developing new metrics and producing new benchmarks of circularity for load-bearing systems in buildings.




Main duties and responsibilities include :

The postdoctoral researcher will direct research at the frontiers of circular design, building stock data, and computational statistical techniques.


Your profile :


You hold a PhD in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or any related field. You have an insatiable appetite for architectural design, construction techniques and computational methods. You are qualified to advise and direct students at the Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral levels. Excellent proficiency in English is required. Good knowledge of French or German is a plus.
