LBL Supply Chain Manager (80-100%)

Committed to strengthening our team in Switzerland, we are currently looking to appoint a Local Business Line (LBL) Supply Chain Manager. In this role, you lead a team of category managers and procurement specialists to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. You monitor and ensure execution in accordance with company and SCM instructions and procedures. Besides, you will become a member of the Global Business Line SCM team and drive the global System Drives business by collaborating closely with your colleagues from other countries. Your responsibilities



  • Implement effective sourcing strategies in line with global business line sourcing strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements

  • Monitor supplier market characteristics regularly; identify opportunities resulting from market shifts and take advantage of such shifts

  • In accordance with global business line guidelines and local business objectives, implement programs to drive improvement in cost, quality and on time delivery

  • Maintain overall supplier relationships, establish annual cost-out, quality, and on time delivery targets with key suppliers. Provide regular performance feedback to suppliers, and drive corrective actions as required

  • Manage supplier performance including quality, delivery and total cost. Lead continuous improvement events with suppliers; improve total cost of ownership

  • Support the business in projects and initiatives and advise on SCM topics

  • Take responsibility for the continuation and development of a successful partnership with the SCM in Poland as feeder factory

  • Establish efficient collaboration with local operative procurement team and other stakeholders in the organization such as R&D, product engineering, quality etc.

  • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed and takes responsibility for coordinating SCM talent management and succession planning within assigned area


Your background



  • University degree in relevant subject (Business/Supply Chain/Engineering)

  • Experience of leading a supply chain team, working in a global organization and leveraging cross business lines opportunities

  • > 5 years of experience in a similar role in our industry

  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships to collaboratively execute business strategies

  • Strong team player with ability to work in multiple functions organization

  • Self-motivated and directed with strong analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Excellent influencing, relationship, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willingness to travel (< 15%)

  • Fluent in German and English
