Senior Biometrics Support Engineer

This role is part of the DevOps team that develops a data driven R based tool to generate insights from data. The ability to build bridges between the development team and the business is critical, i.e communicate business requirements to development teams and help the business to understand the tools crafted by the development teams.


In this position, the person will be accountable to consistently and optimally:



  • Coordinate and run the community support (L1/L2) for the program within the DevOps framework

  • Support R programmers and act as a link to the R core development team

  • Understand and own all aspects of service delivery, governance and performance

  • Face to the business for operational services, communication with users and developers and serves as the single point of contact for blocking issues within operational services

  • Find training needs for end users and super users and coordinates the creation and execution of the trainings

  • Investigate user issues and provide technical solutions and bug-fixes/improvements to the development team

  • Act as the interface to core development teams and infrastructure (L3/L4) support and ensure smooth triaging and problem solving within the support organization


Is this you?


Equipped with a University degree, preferably in IT, Life Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or other analytical fields while possessing knowledge/experience of international clinical research and drug development. Further we need:



  • Solid background in R, R/shiny, git(hub), automation tools etc. would be an advantage

  • Good communication skills towards users, partners, developers

  • Has analytical thinking skills and a customer-service attitude

  • ITIL knowledge is a plus.

  • Excellent oral and written English skills
