For our international medical partner, Roche Diagnostics Int Ltd based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Requriements Engineer until the end of the year.

In our Workflow & IT organization (diagnostics laboratory automation) we provide innovative automation solutions supporting Diagnostic Laboratories to optimize their workflow/intra-logistic processes, which results in an improvement in testing efficiency, service to clinicians and provided patient care. Tasks

• Creates and / or supports the creation of the requirements and specifications on the different levels and ensures consistency across different levels


• Supports the Risks Management regarding criticality rating of requirements


• Ensure implementation of department and divisional standards and guidelines


• Decompose Product Requirements into Technical Requirements (TRQ, SSP, USP) (functional requirements and quality), specified in an appropriate level of detail


• Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.


• Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements


• Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate


• Lead requirements analysis, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards


• Input for improvement areas for the requirements management process


• Define the Requirements management plan


• Define the requirements change management process


• Enter, manipulate, and report on requirements stored in a requirements management tool


• Define requirement attributes and facilitate their use throughout the project


• Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project


• Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools


• Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process


• Assist with the development of the organization’s requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools


• Implement ways to reuse requirements across projects


• Organize and facilitate requirements (prioritization) meetings in accordance with the requirements engineer Organize and facilitate peer reviews


• Ensures consistency of structure in the tool Management of access rights of the requirement management tool


• Ensure timely availability of milestone requirements documentation

Must Haves

• Bachelor or Master degree as a mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, software engineer or in a biochemical discipline, Graduates can also apply for the vacant position as long as they bring the mentioned discipline and already have experience in the laboratory environment


• 3 years+ of experience in requirement engineering or related areas


• Flawless English and German, spoken and written

Nice to Haves

• Experience in lifecycle-tools


• Solid working knowledge in requirement specification and Systems-Engineering, preferably you master Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE)
