Position Description


The Director Service Marketing EMEA is accountable for development and life cycle management of the Service Solutions product portfolio for both QIAGEN and 3rdParty Service businesses, including both direct business and Commercial Partners with a focus on Europe, Middle East and Africa. Besides generation of marketing concepts, the position drives planning and monitoring of Service Solutions revenues and guides operational teams to achieve set goals. Works closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales and Service Solutions teams, Product- and Marketing- Management functions on global, regional and country level. Ensures timely and pro-active communication to internal and external customers. This position will report directly to the VP, Service & Solutions.


This is a multilocation position, therefore the position/ candidate will be base in countries across EUROPE.


 


Position Requirements



  • Accountable for developing the Service Solutions Product portfolio to support both direct customers and service offerings to Commercial Partners.

  • Ensures delivered services are relevant to our customers and recognized as added value and integral part of Sample to Insight value proposition.

  • Defines, drives and monitors implementation of multiyear Service Marketing plan to generate quantifiable Service revenue growth.

  • Sets and implements Service pricing using market research and business intelligence to act as a strategic tool to increase Service revenue growth.

  • Works together closely with and supports Sales, Marketing and Service teams. Acts as key driver of cultural change to natively integrate Service into value proposition.

  • Drives collection, consolidation and analysis of business intelligence from internal and external sources to further improve efficiency and effectiveness of Service Solutions product portfolio.

  • Provides pro-active feedback to colleagues, team and management.

  • Ensures conformity of Service Solutions product portfolio with QIAGEN legal, IT and Quality framework.


Personal Requirements


Education:


·    Master degree or equivalent in Business administration/ sciences.


·    At least 7 yrs work experience in relevant area


·    Excellent knowledge of IT applications (MS office programs, CRM software (currently SFDC), ERP software (currently SAP).


Experience:


·    Min of 7 years of relevant professional experience required.


·    Experience of working with Commercial Partners


Interpersonal and technical skills:


·    Demonstrated strong business acumen.


·    Ability to structure tasks, design and plan problem solving strategies, successfully applies procedural thinking.


·    Proven project management skills


·    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all business levels


·    Enjoys working in team settings. Experience in a multinational and multicultural environment.


·    Embraces change as opportunity.


·    Fluent Business English (oral and writing)


 


Supervisory Responsibilities:


·    Functional lead of Service Marketing


Travel:


·    Significant travel required (up to 30%) during onboarding phase (~3 months) up to 90%
