In this context, Roche is building a specialized Switzerland and California based team that builds and operates a cloud platform for its medical and clinical SaaS products. This team will be responsible for tackling the cyber-security, compliance, and DevOps challenges of the healthcare industry while enabling high-velocity product development. The Solution Manager will be an integral member of this team in the Tools and Vendors stream and managing a portfolio of SaaS tools that build the foundation of the platform.
As a Solution Manager, you will
Manage the tool requests from the various engineering teams (CI/CD, Dev and SecOps tooling) and drives the tool selection process
Define together with IT and Business quality compliance approaches
Design, build automated compliance checks
Define development tool-chains as a part of CI/CD pipelines supporting IT teams as well as product teams in both validated and non-validated environments.
Provide each tool as a self-service, friction-less and easy to consume service supporting the multi-tenancy needs of the NAVIFY Platform.
Establish a process for the rollout of the tools where need be to AWS Regions
Build a service offering for selected SaaS tools by ensuring the proper handling of user management, training, documentation and communication to stakeholders.
Ensure SaaS tools are managed according to compliance and security standards
Create OKRs for SaaS tooling
Set up KPI and track operational metrics of usage, licenses and availability
Be accountable for maintenance and support according to operational procedures (e.g qualification), including periodic checks
Implement access to the SaaS tools by enabling SSO/Active Directory integration
Ensure multi-tenancy of the tools
Manage overall tools costs and identifies charge-back models
Actively manage the SaaS vendors (MSA, SOW, POs, Support contracts, capacity and licenses) and tools life-cycle.

You have a university degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or other related fields. Experience working in a multicultural environment and proven cultural awareness. Experience in the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated industries like finance or insurance seen as highly advantageous.
Furthermore, you bring:
5+ years experience in a customer-facing role within a service organization.
5+ years in a healthcare environment.
5+ years of technical experience in IT organizations
Experience of working at Roche would be an advantage
Experience in managing SaaS vendors
Good understanding of cloud technologies, CI/CD, Dev/SecOps tooling is preferred
Understanding of software automation, programming language
Experience with configuration management, monitoring and continuous improvement
Self-learner and technology savvy
