Essential Responsibilities
• Manage deliverables - Engineering documents for project or programs.
• Ensure that the team complies with the technical rules of GE Global Engineering. (Technology, Quality, TRS ...)
• Put in place an efficient organization and manage the team (priorities, PD @ GE, team development)
• Ensure reliability and drive cost-out actions for the product
• Ensure high design quality and problem solving by engaging consulting or chief engineers.
• Drive efficiency and productivity in the team through ownership and improvement, as needed, of engineering management process
• Ownership of safety strategy and culture implementation at engineering level; ensuring personnel are provided with and following proper procedures
• Lead overall engg execution of projects / programs as per the defined key performance indicators
• Develop and ensure global implementation of design practices, feedback of experience and learnings
• Develop standardization of components in order to have common, reliable design
• Develop engineers in the team towards technical career path
