At our headquarters in Baar, we are seeking an IT Infrastructure - IT Network Collaboration Specialist. The key responsibilities lie in the administration of operational tasks and the implementation of global standards, technologies and processes as well as in International 2nd level support for internal customers.

Your responsibilities



  • Assists in the evaluation of alternatives that will meet the anticipated infrastructure resource needs

  • Participates in the planning, justification, acquisition and implementation of the IT infrastructure

  • Operates the IT infrastructure consisting of computing servers and peripheral equipment, and data and voice network services including storage management, backup and recovery of them

  • Optimizes operations and support structures to create an efficient and effective IT infrastructure covering responsible area

  • Monitors the performance of the IT Network Infrastructure and takes proactive steps to prevent service interruptions, and performs preventive maintenance, hardware and firmware upgrades

  • Coordinates component replacements with suppliers and other teams to limit interruptions

  • Ensures that operations are performed in a reliable and predictable “production quality” manner.
    Reports failures and follows-up on potential problems until operations are re-established to full service

  • Planning and execution of trainings for world-wide 1st and 2nd level Service Desks, creation of training documentation and general documentation

  • Collection of information from software suppliers regarding bug fixes, updates, support etc.

  • Interaction on multiple levels with people throughout all Medela organizations and with suppliers, functional and cross-functional, to provide the appropriate IT technologies to increase operational efficiency

  • Securing that new requirements will be implemented within standard functionality in order to guarantee maintenance of the software

  • Coordination of external service providers

  • Collaboration with Global IT


Your qualifications



  • 7+ years of broad range experience installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting SMB and corporate networks including network routers, switches, VOIP telephony, VPN, Wi-Fi networks, Network security firewalls, Internet Proxies, Load Balancers, Network Monitoring tools etc.

  • Review security architecture, firewall configurations, IDS/IPS and security controls for new and proposed systems

  • Advanced experience with QoS, VLANs, MPLS, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, etc.

  • Familiarity with Aruba, Cisco, Extreme, Checkpoint, SDWAN is a plus

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in Network Technology related systems and services is required

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position

  • Professional Within the scope of tasks and objectives set

  • Financial According to the valid regulations
