Purpose statement: 

Environmental Safety is a global organization with teams based across multiple countries in three continents and is responsible for ensuring that Syngenta's chemical and seeds technologies are safe for the environment. These teams focus on supporting the development of novel, safe pesticides and are responsible for ensuring that the range of chemical and seeds products marketed by Syngenta comply with rigorous internal standards for environmental safety. In addition, environmental safety teams ensure compliance with often-complex risk assessments required by public bodies, e.g. the European Food Safety Authority, for active ingredient and product registrations. This requires that data supporting our understanding of the safety and the registrations of products regionally and globally is generated to the highest standards.

Qualifications

 
What we are looking for:

• Background in biological science or chemistry preferably with a higher degree level (MSc or PhD)


• Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in parallel


• A passion to solve challenging scientific questions
