Mechanical Engineer / CAD Designer

To strengthen our team at the headquarter in Luterbach (Switzerland) we are looking for a/an

Mechanical Engineer / CAD Designer

Your tasks

• Provide assistance in the development and realization of customer-specific projects


• Design of power electronics components


• Design of plastic injection parts and mechanical switches for the automotive industry


• Produce 3D models and detail drawings for elements, tooling and assemblies


• Autonomous development and creation of individual components and assembly using 3D software environment (preferable CATIA V5)


• Develop technological, innovative and pragmatic solutions


• Verification of dimensions, tolerances and measures


• Work directly with the research and development team and assume a coordination role between various departments (development, production and quality)

Your profile

• Diploma as mechanical or electrotechnical engineer - (i.e. mechatronic engineer with experience in mechanical designing)


• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position


• Minimum 3 years' experience using 3D software producing technical drawings (preferable in CATIA V5)


• Previous work experience in the automotive field is of advantage


• Familiarity with PLM/ERP


• Knowledge of EMC practices and power electronics components considered a plus


• Understanding of various materials, fabrication techniques and finishes as well as associated process limitations


• Engineering documentation skills (e.g. BOMs, Design History, Invention Disclosures, Revision Control)


• Able to problem solve, working accurately & methodically, often under pressure and to tight deadlines


• Eager to innovate and enthusiastic about going beyond the state of the art


• Flexible, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative


• Clear and concise communicator with excellent co-ordination, interpersonal and presentation skills


• Fluent in English
