Senior R&D Manufacturing Specialist with expertise in 4.0 advanced manufacturing for portioned Beverages production


Position Summary

 


As a Senior R&D Manufacturing specialist, you will ensure good manufacturing performance in the design of new products and packaging technologies for new portioned beverage systems. You will support the industrialization of new products, processes and capsule assembly with the R&D development teams and factories.



You will also drive the innovation and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies in factories.



You will continuously review existing practices to ensure compliance with best-in-class standards and lead improvements projects in manufacturing performance, product quality, cost and safety of existing products.
 


A day in the life of a Senior Digital Manufacturing Specialist in a R&D environment

 



  • Generate new innovative & operating/manufacturing process with the facts and figures allowing their implementations

  • Lead the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies for producing factories and new system business models

  • Coordinate with the line assembly engineer the overall machine learning implementation (Assembly line, maintenance, performance management, Quality, energy consumption)

  • Support or lead new products, process and packaging industrialization with focus on line performance, cost efficiency on time delivery and product quality

  • Ensure development of competencies and mastership in product /process knowledge.

  • Determine quality specifications and design/validate improvements with suppliers in term of quality, safety, performance and waste

  • Support factories by conducting value analysis; identify and recommend source of cost reduction opportunities. Initiate and/or participate into DMAIC exercises of safety related consumer complaints

  • Conduct regular project meetings with business, management and team members to track project status and progress


What will make you successful

 



  • Master of Science level in scientific field or similarly relevant technical education.

  • Proven experience in 4.0 is a must

  • Work experience +10 years in the field of R&D and advanced manufacturing (and minimum 3 years of factory experience)

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong communication skills and stakeholders management

  • International experience is an advantage. Frequent International business travel (25%)

  • Fluent English and good knowledge of French. Spanish and German are of advantage

  • Analytical problem solving approach
