You will take the lead on local business-related activities and thanks to your in-depth HSE knowledge you will advise the business and provide solutions for a variety of challenges. Your responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all HSE activities and initiatives in the local business line Traction, supplying public transport (part of the Motion business). Further develop and improve the existing HSE program, system and culture


• Act as a partner to the business and represent HSE in the local management team. Support the business in identifying risks and opportunities and systematic risk reduction


• Engage stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on HSE efforts and performance by closing the loop and obtaining feedback


• Ensure appropriate training, audits and practical support to the business


• Ensure ISO 14001 & 45001 compliance, including 3rd party certification


• Investigate HSE incidents, communicate and share learnings and derive actions


• Provide analysis and learnings out of HSE data, monitor progress with key performance indicators and drive the local HSE Management Review


• Collaborate in a highly professional HSE Motion team and take ownership as expert for specific topics in the ABB Switzerland country HSE community


• Cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise HSE awareness, build commitment and drive performance

Your background

• University degree or comparable education with technical background


• Education in occupational health, safety such as safety engineer, CH EKAS, UK NEBOSH or similar is a must


• Experience in environmental affairs would be beneficial


• Proven leadership experience in an international business environment, leading, coaching and developing intercultural teams


• Experienced Internal Auditor ISO45001 (OHSAS 18001) is a must, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 are a plus


• Experience in Quality Management or Lean Six Sigma is a plus


• Strong communicator with the ability to adjust communication to all levels within an organization


• Ability to deal with complexity, stress and ambiguity


• Proactive, practical and systematic way of working and acting


• Fluent English (C1) and German (C1)
