The AO is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, the AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of over 215,000 sur-geons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries.

AO Spine is an international community of spine surgeons generating, distributing, and exchanging knowledge to advance science and the spine care profession through research, education, and community development. Today, AO Spine has a community of 6,500 members.


We are looking for a highly motivated personality for our office in Davos to fill in the position of:


Research Project Coordinator AO Spine [temporary]


In this role you will be required to:



  • provide general administrative support for AO Spine's international research activities

  • manage and track AO Spine's research outcomes (e.g., publications, awards), by entering data in a publication database such as EndNote and Converis

  • maintain a central list of AO Spine's study group members and metrics

  • create research outcomes and membership reports and assist with analytics

  • assist with open calls for AO Spine grants and awards

  • maintain and update AO Spine contracts and agreements in a contract database

  • organize business meetings (e.g., transportation, accommodation, catering) for AO Spine's study groups, comprising of surgeons and researchers from around the world


In order to master this challenge, you have/are:



  • a bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant life sciences discipline, or have relevant experience in office administration

  • excellent communications and interpersonal skills (both written and oral)

  • excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail

  • fluency in English; ability to speak other languages, particularly German, is an asset

  • proven service orientation and service mentality

  • proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment with competing projects and deadlines

  • proven ability to manage multiple priorities

  • computer competency including proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and readiness to learn and apply new tools
