Sales Manager (m/w/d) Smart Buildings

What you will do



  • Identifies, prioritizes, and capitalizes on Data Enabled market opportunities in selected Vertical Markets.

  • Increases market penetration by securing new customers, capturing mind share and driving sales to and through new and existing customer base. Manages qualifications and assesses potential customers and opportunities

  • Ensures the development of new business and demonstrates an understanding of the Smart Building market. Looks for creative avenues to capture business beyond traditional means

  • Partners with other EIS Sales managers to maximize local territory account management consistent with JCI CE Strategic direction.

  • Responsible for growing revenue and meeting growth objectives for primary and recurring revenue from IoT services.

As part of a newly created team across Continental Europe you contribute your effort, creativity and sales passion into developing new business opportunities and relationships. Each day you need to prove excellent communication skills, technical knowhow as well as continuous endurance.


What we look for



  • Highly motivated new business Hunter—demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior business/ technology managers and C-suite decision makers

  • Must be able to effectively tie technology and business objectives to create demand, foster adoption of new solutions, and close deals

  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with complex technical solutions including calling on key decision makers and all other technical and business influencers.

  • Ability to work with internal JCI business units to created integrated solutions that address complex client and technological challenges.

  • Proven (Key) account management experience including forecasting, quota over achievement, sales presentations, short-term, mid-term and long-term opportunity and stakeholder management

  • Demonstrated success selling complex enterprise technology and/or integrated communication solutions in large businesses including experience with emerging technologies

  • Strong IT aptitude and background in Big Data, Cloud computing, IoT, and SaaS enterprise solutions for large businesses

  • Advanced communications skills to negotiate solutions and resolve issues with peers, partners and customers

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing. Master's degree/MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in consultative solution selling within integrated communications, IT, Cloud or Big Data

  • excellent language skills in English and German
