In partnership with cross-functional regional brand teams and regional and country Public Affairs Leads in the emerging market region, lead PA regional activities to facilitate access to new therapies both in Pharma and Oncology through: - greater understanding of healthcare systems, local regulatory and reimbursement frame-works in countries in the region - leading development and implementation of scalable timely environment shaping projects and tools to support key launch products across the region. Build trust with society through developing strategic programs aimed at collaborating with governments to co-create solutions to strengthen the healthcare system. (the Novartis 3S program) Lead Public Affairs activities in Turkey and in India.
Your responsibilities:
Product Support: (60%)
• Lead PA activities in selected pharma and oncology cross-functional regional launch teams for strategic and new therapies and provide strategic and expert public affairs ad-vice to facilitate launch and early launch activities
• Identify specific PA tasks/focus for selected products, and in collaboration with Global Brand PA , regional launch teams and cluster PA, develop and adapt material and plans to support PA activities in market
• Elevate content knowledge of country PA on best practice launch activities and create materials to be used in educating key decision-makers on value of innovative medicines.
• In collaboration with cluster leads, and regional PA, decide on priority markets, and de-sign and execute specific projects in relevant countries.
• Implement mechanisms to measure the impact of environment shaping projects to sup-port launch excellence
• Ensure a greater understanding of specific challenges that governments are trying to tackle in launch countries and support projects that enable collaboration with govern-ment and broader stakeholders to co-create solutions and strengthen the healthcare sys-tem.
• Roll out material and processes also to other regions – Latam. 3S support: (20%)
• In collaboration with Oncology EGM and Oncology MA, develop tools and messages that are scalable to be executed in selected markets. Roll out to clusters and countries.
• Facilitate sharing of best practices in the Novartis 3S health care system shaping and find opportunities to broader this approach to other divisions. ¨
Country Lead:
• Lead PA activities in Turkey and India: o Lead development and implementation of Public Affairs strategies in these 2 markets o Point of contact for Country Public Affairs teams to HQ activities o Represent the Countries in above country trade associations
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Graduate with relevant post-graduate academic/policy development experience
• Experience 10 years + in pharmaceutical industry, or similar, with solid country, healthcare system, public affairs and product launch experience
