Manufacturing Manager Automation, Ibex™

For Ibex™ Solutions, our recently launched unique biological manufacturing and development concept in Visp, Switzerland, we have multiple openings. Become part of this exciting opportunity and join our team by applying for a position as Manufacturing Manager Automation for Ibex™. 


Key responsibilities:



  • Manage the plant automation activities of a manufacturing unit with overall responsibility of manufacturing execution with regard to safety, quality and on-time-in full delivery

  • Lead a team of production supervisors and specialists

  • Be accountable for the performance and results of the assigned area

  • Working as manufacturing automation expert in Capital investment projects for building and commissioning of the manufacturing units

  • Responsible for delivering all input required for the specific set-up, commissioning and qualification of the manufacturing suites and equipment including automation

  • Responsible for implementation of the relevant GMP documents for the respective area

  • Manages a team of production supervisors (Anlagemeister) and specialists with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues

  • Responsible for resource and vacation planning of the assigned team members with regard to the fulfillment of all production orders

  • Accountable for the execution of all work orders in the designated manufacturing unit with regard to safety, quality and delivery

  • Representing the operational area in customer meetings, audits and regulatory inspections

  • First contact person in case of automation issues in your manufacturing unit according to the common escalation guidelines

  • Support MSAT and production teams with expertise in solution finding and trouble shooting

  • Execute risk analysis and manufacturing work place inspections

  • Ensure the technical availability of the manufacturing suites and equipment with respect to automation


Key requirements:



  • Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or an equivalent scientific degree

  • Significant working experience in Automation, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related disciplines

  • Good leadership skills

  • Very good communication skills and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within the organization

  • Strong team orientation as well as structured and proactive working attitude

  • Self-driven and result-oriented

  • Fluency in in English and German
