Development Engineer 100% / three years limited

The 2-stroke and Specialised Services business line within Asset Management Services is working on developing strategic technologies and customers tailor made products. To support these projects, we are looking for a Development Engineer (100%, three years limited) in Winterthur (from 1st July 2020 in Frauenfeld).
 

Responsibilities:

• Support engineering and product management in the development of strategic and customer projects with simulations


• Build simulation models describing the behaviour of relevant products and provide suggestions on possible improvements to design engineers. Calibrate models upon delivery of test results.


• Possible attendance to tests on-site and on board of customer vessels during execution of projects


• Provide engineering support for the design of experimental test rig
   

Requirements:

• MSc, BSc or Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical engineer


• 3+ Years proven experience as a development engineer in similar industry


• Proven knowledge of thermodynamics, hydraulics and fuel injection technology applied to internal combustion engines


• Knowledge of 1D simulation software like AMESim, GT-Suite in time and frequency domain


• Good knowledge of Matlab (or similar software) targeted to the post processing of gathered data


• Experience in the preparation and execution of experimental activities suitable


• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies of hydraulic components suitable


• Team player, yet able to work independently


• Attitude to working in a multicultural environment


• Good knowledge of English


• Basic Knowledge of German
