The AO is a medically guided, nonprofit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, the AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of over 215,000 sur-geons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries.

In close collaboration with trusted industrial partner, universities and in-house institutes, the AO Foundation constantly develops new operation techniques, implant, instruments and clinical solutions under the medical guidance of independent surgeons. The AO is the leading innovator in the surgical treatment of bone fractures and disorders. Innovation at the AO goes from bench to bedside, including basic research and innovation, product development, and clinical validation. The AO Innovation Translation Center (AO ITC) streamlines and drives innovation projects. The AO Technical Commission (AO TC) is an integral part of the AO ITC and consists of three specialty Technical Commissions, various Global Expert Committees, Expert Groups, and Task Forces in which around 120 outstanding surgeons across the world work together with engineers to solve the most pressing clinical problems. Those medical-technical committees are responsible for the development and clinical testing of new devices and for supporting their educational concepts



We are recruiting for the following temporary position:


ITC Coordinator 50% temporary


 


In this role you will be required to



  • Organize meeting, including but not limited to the following activities:

    • Benchmark evaluation of meeting venues (cost of location, transfer, food and beverage management, meeting facilities)

    • Travel arrangements, on-site logistics (hotel, transfer, food and beverage management, and meeting facilities)

    • Reimbursement of costs incurred by AO TC members/guests

    • Close collaboration and interaction with AO TC Managers

    • Cost efficiency awareness, supporting budget forecasting


  • Responsibility for the storage and administration of AO TC data, including but not limited to the following activities:

    • Handling and updating highly confidential information and data

    • Administration of AO TC membership (addresses, AO TC cover letters, membership terms, etc)

    • Distribution of meeting-related documents (agenda, minutes)



In order to master this challenge you have



  • Commercial education (KV or Handelsschule)

  • Proven experience in event organization and business administration

  • Good English language skills (written and spoken)

  • Clear and diplomatic communication skills (written and spoken)
