Regular interactions with selected neurologists, key medical expert (KME) in the established therapeutic area with the aim to present and discuss aspects of the Biogen Neuroscience and rare diseases portfolio, to identify their medical needs and pass this information on to cross-functional internal partners. In addition responsible for medical-scientific training and training of Account Managers in the area. Support of SMA and neuropaediatric centers in initiating scientific projects (e.g. IIT, Biogen Global clinical studies sites implementation, educational programs) and participating in scientific studies before and after approval. Attend and participate to the organisation of key events including national and/or international congresses related to the therapeutic area. Implement tactics from the defined strategy, in alignment with the Global strategy. Be updated in scientific literature.
Key responsibility:
Interaction with SERF HCPs in dedicated MSL areas
1. Presenting and discussing
a. relevant medical and scientific data and papers with selected neurologists and KMEs with focus on neuroscience and rare diseases narratives, like diagnosis, therapy monitoring, patient outcome
b. safety updates for Biogen Neuroscience and rare diseases products
c. real world data including comparative effectiveness data concerning Neuroscience and rare diseases portfolio
d. gathering meaningful medical insights and sharing with other internal stakeholders
Top KME engagement
1. Selecting KMEs for engaging in different projects and platforms in cooperation with the Medical Team
2. Contacting, discussing and following up engagements with Top KMEs
Medical education platforms
1. Creating new platforms like stand alones, nationwide cooperation programs like regional expert meetings, workshop groups
a. Leading project groups concerning those events and platforms including detailed project plan and tracking strong execution
b. Creating measurements and tools to measure impact, outcome and value of all educational programs and projects
c. Constantly informing all relevant internal stakeholders about the status of projects

Study projects
1. Management of investigator initiated trials (IIT) und sponsored research agreements (SRA)
a. Discussion with investigator about concept papers
b. Check of alignment with Biogen areas of interest
c. Defending the project ideas during discussion with the MMRC
2. Support CCL concerning Phase 2 and 3 studies
Congresses
1. Attending selected congresses and supporting or leading different KME engagement programs
2. Support the booth /Medical team
3. Project lead for congress programs with attendees incl. planning, executing and follow up activities
Education:
Master to Doctorat degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (Pharm.D., D.Sc., Master, Ph.D., or M.D. / D.O.) with medical/technical scientific training background
Skills:
· Ideally, several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on specialty care/medical departments, particularly in Neuroscience and /or in orphan diseases.
· German and English fluent, French is a plus.
· Strong autonomy and pioneer mindset
· Proven competence developing and strategy & execution capabilities.
· Superior project management, including demonstrated ability to lead, cross-functional project teams
· Thorough understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
· Strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and a customer focus are necessary.
