The Embedded Software group within CSEM’s Systems Division, based in Neuchâtel, is currently looking for a:

Your mission

Software Developers at CSEM are the backbone of our strategic initiatives to design, code, test, and provide industry-leading solutions that literally make the world run. Whether you are working on projects internally or for a client, software development is critical to the success of the company and our clients worldwide. You will use latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and work leading minds in the industry to build solutions way ahead of the market.

As a full-stack developer, you will participate in the support, design, and implementation of the CSEM’s cloud. You will also collaborate in multidisciplinary industrial projects (linked with the company’s activity fields) and participate in their acquisition. Your main task will be further optimizing the continuous integration and deployment processes.

Your profile

We are searching for someone who is very quality orientated working to industry standards with close attention to testing, certifications, and professional preparation for interaction with manufacturers and suppliers. You are inspired to be creative but also to be organized and disciplined in control and quality issues.

Required qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science (PhD is a plus) and experience in the field;


• Knowledge of and proper experience managing UNIX-based systems;


• Knowledge of both front-end and back-end languages;


• Hands on experience using Docker.

Preferred qualifications

• Proven experience with JavaScript, ideally modern libraries such as NodeJS frameworks. Knowledge with Server-Side Rendered applications and optimization;


• Ability to troubleshoot and debug browsers;


• Detail-oriented. Based on provided specifications, ability to implement highly performant and pixel-perfect User-Interfaces;


• Demonstrates considerations for quality and security;


• Ability to consume, design, and implement RESTful APIs;


• Experience in modern development methodologies (Lean or Agile);
