JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing for Biogen Biosimilars Unit (BBU) – the Director Marketing, BBU Communications is the expert within the division that will own and drive the development of our unique value proposition for Biosimilars. This critical role will lead the articulation of our aspiration to sustainably unlock the potential of biosimilars, for the benefit of our patients, prescribers and healthcare systems to fulfill our promise to transform more lives.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Commercial Communications:
Responsible for cohesive development, deployment and consistent articulation of our unique value proposition and leadership narrative for Biosimilars – internally and externally. They will lead the articulation of our aspiration to sustainably unlock the potential of biosimilars, for the benefit of our patients, prescribers and healthcare systems to transform more lives, developing the supporting communication materials accordingly (e.g., Internal - intranet, executive communications, External - website, social media, conferences and events, Project - creative services management for project deliverables).
2. Contribute to new business development & special strategic projects:
Work with Biosimilars Leadership Team and business leaders to develop a strategy that sets forth the company's internal and external marketing and communications to help drive continued growth of the core business and new channel penetration by creating and develop innovative value-added concepts for brands/portfolio.
3. Effective stakeholder management:
Responsible to manage external PR agency, including briefings, output optimization of work packages in concert with respective brand/country leads (globally & affiliate level) and in collaboration with our JV partner Samsung Bioepis
The successful candidate will be an experienced communications professional with strong track record of operational and marketing success in the bio/pharma industry. He/She must have the proven ability to operate in a challenging and energetic global commercial environment with multiple stakeholders.
Prove track record of success over at least 12-15 years within the pharmaceutical industry and/or Biotech industry. Experience in the media or the corporate sector is also essential for the position.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities
The candidate is a strategic thinker and planner coupled with a passion for innovation.
First-rate written and verbal communication skills (English). Excellent ability to develop high impact executive presentations, clear story lining and superior PowerPoint skills essential.
Driven and goal orientated with ability to persuade and influence senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues; strong team player; inclusiveness and flexibility.
Experience in assessing evolving healthcare segment dynamics highly desired.
A track record of success in matrix environment with country organizations, across multiple cultures and functions.
Experience leading with large, complex, cross functional programs and projects.
Experience leading external content and creative agencies.
Experience with aTNF, biosimilars, sales or sales leadership are all a plus
