To support our growth, Open Web Technology has an immediate opening for a Senior Ruby / Rails Developer based in Geneva.

As a Senior Ruby / Rails Developer, you will be working with our Project Managers, UI Developers, Designers and Backend Engineers to build excellent web application for large enterprise systems. Turning designs and client requirements into new fully functional web applications will be a central part of your job.

You will craft project structures and communicating it to your team as well as ensuring the web application is running optimally at all times. Finally, you will write efficient and reliable code, setup unit integration tests and use standard methodologies with our team.

Roles & responsibilities

• Participate in the technical design of projects we create for our clients


• Write efficient and reliable code; use best practices with our team


• Organize and participate code reviews


• Setup unit and integration tests


• Keep up to date with the latest technology trends

Requirements

Technical Skills

• At least 4 years of technical development experience with Ruby on Rails project and all related framework


• Strong experience with web design, REST web service architecture, database design


• Experience in continuous integration, continuous deployment (Jenkins) and DevOps culture


• Participate to Agile Project (Scrum, Kanban),


• Knowledge with frontend development (Angular or React) or mobile development (Android, iOS) a plus


• Fluent in English and French, German a plus

• Strong team spirit, transparent communication, and self-management


• Real passion for digital and infrastructure


• Flexibility and motivation, quest for constant learning


• Excellent problem solving and debugging skill

Applicants must be Swiss resident or have a valid permit for Switzerland.
