The Technical Service of the Division Generation International is looking for a SCADA and Operations Engineer. You will be responsible for evaluationg, improving and maintaining the current SCADA Infrastructure. The asset portfolio consists of wind, solar, small hydro and thermal plants, located throughout Europe. The position is located in Olten.

 
Your main responsibilities  

• Active monitoring of the operating status of our assets and constant consultation about the operating status with local operational monitoring personnel




• Validation of the current SCADA architecture and ensuring the scalability of all additions and modifications




• Analysis of automated operational monitoring functions and plausibility checks




• Ensure the SCADA environment addresses business requirements and evaluate possible system migration




• Predictive indication of operational deviations




• Research, evaluate, and stay current on SCADA-related tools and technologies

 
Your experience ans qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energies, IT or comparable


• An aptitude for working with and developing SCADA system solutions


• Employ analytical, conceptual and creative thinking skills to troubleshoot/improve SCADA system reliability to drive overall business and systems performance


• 2-5 years of relevant SCADA software experience


• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify, solve and communicate complex problems


• Knowledge in data analysis and reporting


• Ability to work independently as well as strong intercultural skills


• Strong communication skills


• Good language skills in English and German, Italian is a plus


• Working knowledge of the renewable energy industry and projects is a plus


• Experience in change management is a plus


• OSIsoft PI experience is a plus
