For our client, an international pharmaceutical company situated in canton Lucerne we are accepting applications for the role of Procurement Associate.
Your Challenges
Responsibilities will include:
Ensuring appropriate sourcing rigor and compliance to Sourcing Recommendation Committee (SRC), category strategy development, Supplier Development and Performance Management process, and other supply management processes.
Executing operating objectives for the procurement function, with key activities including, but not limited to:
Product Sourcing – Sourcing Management Process (SMP) & Project Execution
Supplier Performance Management
Risk Assessment & Mitigation Planning
Cost Improvement Project Execution
Process compliance & that of site stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement
KPI Target Achievement & Reporting –Working Capital, Diversity, etc.
Serving as an operational and technical resource for procurement systems and educate stakeholders about process and technology of procurement function.
Managing relationships with external contacts to ensure optimal performance and to ensure customer satisfaction.
Implement Supplier Value Management with the key suppliers to foster innovation, manage supplier performance, establish appropriate governance, and ensure continuous improvement.
Working with Global Procurement colleagues to ensure compliance to global standards.
Ensuring that all legal contract requirements are met.
Working in a way that positively engages the support of stakeholders and business functions using problem-solving, transparency, and proactive communication skills to prioritise projects and closely tracks/reports progress achieved.
Your Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Procurement related area. Any further education is highly appreciated
The perfect candidate would have 3 years of experience in a direct material procurement role (pharma, FMCG, automotive, aerospace). Less experienced candidate would still be considered
Experienced in strategy execution
Needs to possess strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to lead conversations in English (C1). Any other language would be a plus, especially German.
Ability to work with all levels of business customers in a highly dynamic environment
Comfortable with working closely across various teams including functional and procurement leadership teams
