Description

If you are looking for a very motivating startup work environment and team, if you would like to contribute to the growth of a disruptive Venture Capital platform and if you are hands-on, then this could be the perfect opportunity and work environment for you. We are looking to systematically track and analyze one of Europe’s largest startup portfolios, highlighting current issues but also the great work that our portfolio companies are doing.

investiere.ch is an online investment platform that offers private and institutional investors direct and professional access to startup investments. Having successfully closed more than 100 financing rounds since 2010, investiere.ch is one of the most active venture capital investors in Switzerland. You will work for a startup with many other startups so in the heart of a young, innovative and vibrant community.

In Venture Capital Portfolio Operations, you will:

  • Monitor our portfolio of more than 80 Swiss and European startups

  • Gather all necessary information from portfolio companies and their shareholder reporting to ensure we have a consistent overview over how and what they are doing

  • Create analysis that allows us to communicate the overall portfolio health to our investor base, both quantitatively and qualitatively

  • Be the first person to know how and where we can help our portfolio companies, where they currently struggle and how we can promote their good work

  • Be a strong voice in our decisions to re-invest in our portfolio companies

Requirements

  • High attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

  • Willingness and curiosity to dive into the workings of a broad range of startups and their industries, working with our cross-company teams to deliver the best services to our portfolio and the investors we bring them

  • As you will have to understand often very technical early-stage companies as well as complex legal contracts or captables, experience with financial business plans, legal documentation in venture capital and/or a technical background will be a strong plus

  • High people and communication skills - you need to be comfortable and creative when being asked to be good cop or bad cop, as a sparring partner to our internal teams and the portfolio companies

  • Experience in portfolio management for venture capital or private equity a plus

Benefits

  • Dynamic and challenging startup and venture capital environment, deep and collaborative involvement with the work across our teams

  • Compensation package with eligibility for employee share incentive plan

  • Flexibility with work locations and hours

  • Frequent team events and more
