Purpose of the Job


Within the Maintenance & Warranty team, the Troubleshooting Technician is in charge of fault finding, faults being raised during the SBB Infra commercial service or during Maintenance.


The Trouble Shooter deeply contributes to the Availability & Reliability performance of the Locomotives:



  • by the quality of his intervention:

    • accuracy of the diagnostic to identify quickly the root cause(s) of the failure

    • effectiveness in fixing the problem & efficiency (in shortest time, with maximum autonomy)

    • accuracy of tests after intervention


  • by the completeness of the information he communicates about his interventions, allowing the Engineering team to identify technical “anomalies” (that may generate modifications)

  • by his deep involvement in investigations about the “anomalies”, always in collaboration with Train System Engineers;

  • by his feedback on all documentation support used in corrective maintenance.

     










 

Educational Requirements

Engineer or experimented Technician (Electro-Mechanical)

 

Desired Knowledge / Experience



  • 5 years minimum experience in Railways Reliability Management / Warranty / System Engineering; preferably on Maintenance site & Alstom Transport environment.

  • Familiar with TCMS, Software tools (MPU, TCU)

  • Familiar with Excel

 


Technical Skills & Competencies


General technical culture in Railways / Rolling Stock: experience in field activities (corrective maintenance, validations, tuning) and/or Design (system/functional knowledge).


 


Languages


Fluent in ENGLISH or FRENCH, GERMAN (Speak + Write + Read).
